Grinding vs. full removal — which do you need?

For almost every homeowner, grinding is the right answer: it's faster, cheaper, and far less destructive to your yard than digging the whole root ball out. Full extraction is only worth it if you're building something on the exact spot that needs the roots gone entirely. If you just want the stump gone and the yard usable again, grinding does the job.
